Day 1: Arrival in Cochin - Munnar

  • Arrival in Cochin: Begin your trip at Cochin (Kochi) Airport or railway station.
  • Sightseeing in Cochin: Visit key attractions like the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, and Chinese Fishing Nets.
  • Drive to Munnar: After sightseeing, head to Munnar (approximately a 4-hour drive). Enjoy the scenic views of tea plantations and waterfalls along the way.
  • Overnight Stay: Check into your hotel or resort in Munnar.

Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing

  • Munnar Tour: Visit the Eravikulam National Park, known for the Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goats), Mattupetty Dam, Anamudi Peak, and Tea Museum.
  • Evening at Leisure: Relax at your hotel, explore local markets, or take a nature walk.
  • Overnight Stay: Stay in Munnar.

Day 3: Munnar - Thekkady

  • Drive to Thekkady: After breakfast, head to Thekkady (approximately a 3-hour drive). This is the gateway to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

  • Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary: Enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake to spot wildlife such as elephants, bison, and various bird species.
  • Spice Plantation Tour: Explore the spice plantations of Thekkady, famous for producing spices like cardamom, pepper, and cloves.
  • Overnight Stay: Stay in Thekkady.

Day 4: Thekkady - Alleppey (Houseboat) - Cochin Departure

  • Drive to Alleppey: After breakfast, proceed to Alleppey (approximately a 4-hour drive) for a houseboat experience on the backwaters.
  • Houseboat Cruise: Spend the day cruising on the backwaters, enjoying the tranquil surroundings, paddy fields, and coconut lagoons.
  • Disembark and Departure: Return to Cochin in the evening for your departure.
